65 Amps (2009) Lil' Elvis 1x12" Combo

65 – Lil’ Elvis 1X12 Combo
12 WATT (2xEL84), Tube rectified, 3×12AX7,Tremolo

Lil Elvis is a breakthrough amplifier rooted in some lost designs from the early 60’s best designer. Based on a 2xEL84 power section, 12AX7 front end and a clean output of 12 watts. The authority and vocabulary of this little amp are truly surprising and inspiring. One will never feel that he’s playing a small amplifier at all. With the feel of a mini-4×12 rig, Lil Elvis is truly a pleasure for the rock, country, jazz, R&B and hard rockers alike.

In addition to a truly astonishing vocabulary, touch response and harmonic content, Lil Elvis has 65’s “Master Voltage” TM(patent applied for). Our Master Voltage is a large leap forward in power technology. Not a scaling schema, attenuator or master volume, the Master Voltage keeps the entire vocabulary, authority, and responses down to 2 or 3 watts. This feature makes Lil Elvis an outstanding recording, small club or large stage amp especially when in-ear monitors are required for your gig.

Features include the Master VoltageTM, passive FX loop, 2 speaker outs, a unique tremolo and tone for days . . . .

65 Amps (2009) London 2x12" Combo

65 – London
18 WATT (2xEL84), Tube rectified, 12AX7, EF86, Tremolo

Evolved from some of the Mid-Sixties best low powered amplifiers. The 2xEL84, Cathode Biased, Class A sound is that of astonishing warmth, depth, harmonic richness all in a small package that allows big-amp sound on small stages, in the studio or at home. The London takes the classic 2xEL84 vocabulary and pushes it way beyond all predecessors. With the distinct tones of 2 very different 60’s 18watt amps in one package, The London offers 2-amps-in-one and allows a greatly increased vocabulary.

This is the “go to” amp for countless studio musicians, producers, and sidemen who need a big, rich British sound in a small package. The London survived the “18watt wars” of a few years ago and has become the standard for 2xEL84 genre and is widely used on dozens of major tours, major label recordings, and is a frequent guest on national TV shows.

Trem channel – 12AX7 based with a single tone knob and an organic Bias tremolo activated by a footswitch. This channel is the one for many of your classic British tones from your favorite Blues and Rock records.

Colour Channel – EF86 (pentode) based with a tone knob and 6-way color switch that adjusts the mid focus. This channel is reminiscent of the British Invasion sound until you push it hard via the Booster Switch and then if flips into ultra-rich, harmonic saturation that defines modern day boutique amplifiers.

65 – SoHo (20 watts) – Designed to be a super-functional amp for working players and enthusiasts who desire widely varied tones in one amp. The SoHo can transition seamlessly from the best of American tones to the sweetest British tones via the “Bump” function and NOT switching channels. The Bump will radically shift the tone-stack functionality achieving astonishing renditions of dozens of excellent, natural sounds. In addition to the “Bump” function, there is a defeatable Master Volume that is revolutionary in that is slopes the tone stack as you turn the Master down, giving the Master a very natural sound and ultra-low volumes. The Master can be turned on for “Home” mode and completely defeated for “Gig” mode. This amp is a must for studio players, small club gigs and enthusiasts who need to play at reduced volumes.

HISTORY

The VariPlex™ was modeled after a particularly wonderful ’68 Plexi I encountered. In the prototyping, I tried every combination of coupling caps and resistor types I could get my hands on. When 10 of 10 players chose this head over the original, I was satisfied. Then came the best part.

Features

The VariPlex™ uses a Variac to modulate the power output (Variable AC – think brown sound here). After some serious work, the supplied Variac now acts as an infinite master volume allowing linear tracked power reduction from its normal 50 watts all the way to 0.

Each VariPlex™ is hand-built on a hand-built fiberglass eyelet board using components selected for reliability and superior sonic character along with Mercury Magnetics transformers. One input/volume control has been optimized for humbucking pickups, the other for single coils. Three 12AX7, two EL34 power tubes. Variac Supplied.

Bogner (2009) Shiva 20th Anniversary (White) Head + 2x12" Speaker Cabinet Bundle

Pre-Owned, MINT condition! Includes custom-made padded covers for both head & cab!

$3500

Here it is!!!

The 20th Anniversary Shiva Head and 2X12 Cabinet. Very limited production. Awesome amp! Incredible sound! Grab it before it’s gone!

  • White Tolex
  • Plexi front panel
  • KT88’s
  • “Classic Option” style filtering = less compression
  • Readjusted feedback circuit
  • Structure switch modded for vintage/modern modes
  • Overhauled preamp with selected coupling capacitors
  • With Reverb!
Amp and cabinet are sold as a set only!

Featuring a pair of KT88’s the amp is rated at 90 watts.

The clean channel has an entire new boost circuit with it’s separate gain stage which unlike the “tone stack bypass” boost on the other Shiva models keeps the tone controls active all the time. With the boost engaged it’s extra gain stage lets you dial well into Plexi territory.

The gain channel has overall more gain with a more refined voice on tap. Two push button switches have been added to further shape the tone. The Shift button will shift the EQ, pushed in you get a more “blackface” type of tone, less mids softer feel. One could say it will please the Dumble favoring players. The Mode button if pushed in will give you a more aggressive in your face feel.
A power amp dampening control was added on the back panel. This control is labeled Excursion and is great to dial in a full sound at low volumes or to adjust the right balanced bass to a cabinet and room size. Be carefully as this can add massive bottom to your sound which might overpower other frequencies and cover up an overall balanced sound. Best to keep low at higher volumes.

While it is true that your friends, band mates and family members will admire the Mercury for its good looks and ‘polite’ power rating, Mercury owners seem to cherish our newest amp for many other practical reasons. Our exclusive power attenuating circuit enables the Mercury to be played at 8, 2, 1/2 and only 1/10 watts, with no appreciable change in tone, yet the Mercury easily yields enough clean headroom for club work. Artists and Press

“The Raleigh took whatever we threw at it – single-coils, humbuckers, P-90s – and spit back inspiring cleans, complex overdriven tones and raucous dirt with nothing more than a knob tweak or two. In other words, the Raleigh is nearly perfect for recording or truly enjoyable living room jams.” – Premier Guitar, Oct 2008

“The Raleigh is, as we wrote in our review notes, “a great little bedroom blaster” – but unlike most other little bombers from days past, the rich clean tones make the Raleigh exceptional in this class.” – The ToneQuest Report, Oct 2008

Can You?

When asked, by Corky James, amongst others, “Can you take my favorite 1959 tweed amp from Fullerton and instead of the controls being Volume Volume Tone make it Volume Treble Bass, give it more clean headroom, a wider range of usable overdrive (throw in a little EL 34), make it a little louder with fuller, tighter low end, and put a master volume in it so i can play at all levels and dial in and hit the sweet spot of whatever speaker i am using at the time, mostly a G12M Celestion?”

Sure.

Powered by 2 6V6GT’s it’s hard to believe the performance of this stout, 11 watt, 1×12 combo that is just the latest in an ongoing tradition here at Divided by 13 of collaborating with and responding to what players, writers, and producers ask us to do. Epiphone (19??) Electar Zephyr Amp-Combo

Sold as a pair with the stunning Blonde Epiphone Emperor!

Call us at our SoHo location for more information! (212) 625-2557

Some history on this super-cool Epiphone amp:

the Zephyr. Introduced in 1939, this amp featured an angled back so that better projection could be achieved. At 22 ½” tall, the Zephyr was tailored to fit into the existing look that dance bands were using at that time. The controls had now been moved to the top of the amp making it far more convenient for the player to make adjustments to the dials. The back panel was cut with slots to allow rear speaker dispersion and better ventilation for the tubes. A higher powered Dreadnaught version of the Zephyr was also available.

The most famous player to use an Epiphone amplifier would have to be Django Reinhardt, seen below. This photo, taken from rare film footage, shows Django playing a natural Epiphone Zephyr through an Electar Zephyr Dreadnaught. During his only trip to the United States in 1946, Django acquired the Dreadnaught while visiting the Epiphone factory at West 14th Street in New York City.

The real deal!

Some info on this fantastic classic

The Fender Super Reverb was made by Fender back in 1965. What was new about this guitar amplifier? It was a Fender Super amplifier with built-in Reverb and vibrato. The Fender Super Reverb amplifier is a tube amp with a spring reverb. Back in the day the Fender designers came up with two idea’s: from 1963-1967 the color of the face was black. From 1968-1982 the Super Reverb’s face was Silver.

In 2001 Fender reintroduced the Super Reverb model as the ‘65 Super Reverb. The amplifier is so famous about its clean warm Fender tone. It is a classic ‘combo’, an amp and speaker in one. You can play all sorts of styles with this amp: Rock, country, bleus, Rock and Roll, you name it. The amp is loud enough to power a large room with its 40 watts.A great plus with the Super Reverb: turn up the volume and keep that warm Fender tone without clipping. The Fender Super Reverb is a true classic!

Goodsell (2010) Super 17 MkIII 1x12 Combo (Seafoam Green)

Goodsell (2010) Super 17 MkIII 1x12 Combo (Seafoam Green)

The Super 17 MkIII has been our best-seller for over two years. It is the latest evolution of the original Goodsell 17, which at the time was being made on leftover Hammond organ chassis and iron. It features a pair of EL84s, a solid-state rectifier, and 3 very busy 12AX7s – one of which is the long-tail phase inverter while the other two take care of pre-amp, reverb send & return, and tremolo oscillator. Speaking of tremolo, all Goodsells are equipped to use the same feature “cathode biasing” bias-vary design that garnered the Guitar One Award for Excellence & Design when it was introduced in the 33 Custom four years ago.

What does cathode-biased mean?
It means there is never anything to adjust when you replace the power tubes. It is a choice of output topology for many “boutique” builders used on many lower-powered amps because of the way it sounds. Most of the classic Fender and Marshall amps used fixed-bias because higher output ratings were available, and back in the day it was all about wattage. Still is, for big rigs…

Goodsell Amps all have a speed and depth control and can be operated with the included foot switch. On the 17, the single gain stage (comprised only of 1/2 of a 12AX7) is controlled by the GAIN knob and the single TONE control, which together with a transparent post-phase inverter volume (we don’t call it “master” here) offers a lot more flexibility that it would appear. The tone ranges from a bright-ish, harmonically complex chime, to a soft approachable polite overdrive. An extremely versatile amp that loves single coils, especially Telecasters.

Marshall (2010) Class 5

Marshall (2010) Class 5

Marshall designed the 5W Class 5 combo amp in response to numerous requests from both professional musicians and the public. They came up with a 1×10 tube amp that recreates the Marshall sound heard in the big stacks and does it in a much smaller combo amplifier.

Created in the legendary Bluesbreaker style, the Marshall Class 5 gets back to basics with a top-loaded panel of Volume, Treble, Middle, and Bass controls. This simple feature set is the Marshall Class 5 tube amp’s secret weapon. What you get in return is authentic Class A tone, rich in smooth harmonic distortion.

The all-tube signal path offers a wealth of analog tones right at your fingertips. Sparkling cleans, full-bodied crunch and glorious lead are just a dial turn away. The Marshall Class 5 combo also responds well to on-the-fly guitar volume and tone control adjustments, making for a truly dynamic playing experience.

Inside the Marshall Class 5 amp is a 10” G10F15 speaker designed in conjunction with Celestion. Turn the volume up to hear that classic Marshall tube amp break-up tone. Increase the EQ and volume for harder rhythms and soloing. Crank all the dials to 10 for screaming British tone.

The rear panel consists of a selection switch for the headphone jack, which when activated bypasses the internal speaker. On the rear is an extension speaker 16-Ohm out, so you can run your Marshall Class 5 tube amp into a 4 × 12” cabinet.

The Marshall Class 5 amp is simple to use—ideal for home practice, recording, and very intimate settings.

Marshall Class 5 5W 1×10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Features:

  • Power Output (RMS): 5 Watt

Mesa Boogie (2009) Electra Dyne 1x12" Combo (British Tan)

Mesa Boogie (2009) Electra Dyne 1x12" Combo (British Tan)

Keep It Simple… Without Imposing Limitations.

Introducing the Electra Dyne™. An easy-to-look-at, simple-to-use new amplifier that has way more TONE than you might expect hidden artfully behind these six knobs and a switch.

Deeply rooted in the Best of the Brit lineage, the Electra Dyne takes modified English gain sounds and sorts them into LO and HIGH regions. These two choices are combined with a retro-minded, American-voiced clean “channel” and linked to one mini-toggle that gives you three of the most classic sounds in Rock and Roll on one switch! And unlike other amps of this style, footswitchable Modes and the finely tuned control interface allow many players to stomp back and forth across the pond without touching a single control.

Add to this stealthy versatility our patented Simul-Class™ Power that blends the efficiency and headroom of CLASS AB PENTODE with the sweeter clip and enhanced harmonics of CLASS A style wiring. Choose between the Simul-Class quartet of 6L6 for 90 watts of authority or, switch down to the Class AB pair for a bouncy, easy to clip 45 watts. You can also load the Electra Dyne with EL34 type tubes for a brighter Brit style clip thanks to the switchable Bias Select.

Lush, deep, all-tube Reverb adds a whole new dimension to the Brit-inspired scheme and raises the bar to a new height. The Reverb circuit can be switched-in to be Active in all Modes, defeated in either LO or HIGH gain Modes (CLEAN remains active), or Hard Bypassed, which removes the entire circuit – including the Reverb tube – from the signal path for the purist.

Responsibilities behind, miles of S-curves ahead…fully in the moment and feeling the rush as you confidently snake your way through shadowed canyons that give way to sunny ridgetops. Freedom, Flow, Exhilaration!

The Roadster FEATURES

Throughout two lower gain Channels, 1 and 2, you’ll discover every classic clean sound in the pairs of CLEAN and FAT modes. Once you’ve dialed in your ultimate clean sound, you can duplicate it in the other Channel and modify it for single note applications, a more pushed version or decide to switch to another mode for a radically different sound. Meanwhile dedicated American Blues and English Rock sounds reside in the easily clippable mid-gain realms of TWEED and BRIT. These dynamic and incredibly expressive modes would make an amazing amplifier all by themselves as they roam the zone between clean and clipped with authentic finesse.

Channels 3 and 4 contain all the mind-altering iconic sounds of the legendary Dual Rectifier® Solo Head and hand you the keys to the world of high gain…both retro and future. The RAW, VINTAGE and MODERN modes cover the entire range of gain from a sweet clip, through liquid voice up to a crushing wall of tight grind and are duplicated in both Channels. This again allows you to either find a favorite sound and dedicate the channels to slight differences or, configure them for wildly different styles.

The Channels’ duplicated modes are a powerful feature – making the Roadster not just an amp for your current style or band but rather, a lifelong companion to your music…offering limitless configurations, keeping pace with your growth as your playing evolves.

The Roadster also features our Multi-Watt™ Channel Assignable Power feature allowing you to choose either 50 or 100 watt power for each preamp Channel. This simple to use feature expands the potential of each Channel mode exponentially by enabling you to lower the power-clip threshold or, tighten things up as needed. The two power choices also offer different personalities; 50 watts with its brighter, elastic bounce or 100 watts of tight-tracking low-end girth and mid punch authority.

Add to this power shaping magic our patented Tube Rectifier Tracking feature. Each channel features the ability to choose between the saggy bounce of the 5U4 Rectifier Tubes or the tight, bold authority of the Silicon Diodes. Selecting TUBE RECTIFIER TRACKING brings on-line one 5U4 when in 50 watts and two 5U4s when 100 watts is selected.

Reverb is paramount in an amplifier this versatile and the Roadster gets the best! We’ve taken our all-tube circuit from the widely acclaimed Lone Star and the result is lush, ambient Reverb that blooms with sweetness as it bathes each note in old school glory. And because the Roadsters’ modes offer such a wide range of gain levels and sound styles, each Channel is fitted with a dedicated REVERB mix control located on the Rear Panel so Reverb can be optimized for each sound.

Mesa Boogie Dual/Triple Rectifier Series

Mesa Boogie Dual/Triple Rectifier Series

1989 was the fork in the road here at Mesa/Boogie®. It was the year we embarked on a mission to Rectify high gain guitar and reintroduce MESA Engineering® to the world.

Since the early 70’s the Boogie™ Mark Series amplifiers have been famous for their gobs of overdrive and liquid sustain, making them the choice for a solo voice. Combining this thick gain with our on board 5 Band Graphic EQ produced lethal crunch as well and these trademark sounds propelled players and MESA into the spotlight for 20 years.

Still, we yearned for more in our mosh. We envisioned a menacing sound with the creamy voice of a Boogie, yet with huge low end that could track faster and stay tight even under the most extreme settings. In the early dawn of the gotee and tattoo era we longed to create another classic…a statement of the times, like the mighty little Boogie of the 70’s. Our quest ended in the Dual & Triple Rectifier® Heads and the rest is history. Ten years later, the patented Dual Rectifier® Series amplifiers continue to astonish us with their success.

Throughout the 90’s we introduced several other models in this line aimed at milder gain styles and they too found their legions of devotees. Yet with hundreds of hit recordings and thousands of ecstatic customers, the Dual & Triple Heads remain the mainstay of the Rectifier phenomenon.

So it is with reverence, pride and excitement we introduce the Newest Rectos®…The Three-Channel Heads!

These new machines of mayhem unleash all the punishing gain found in the original Rectos’ two channels and add a powerful third channel dedicated to rhythm sounds. The high gain lead channels now each have an additional mode dubbed RAW that that travels the region of gain below that of the original VINTAGE mode. RAW, with its’ touch sensitive response, lets you explore the heavier side of blues on up to classic rock …revealing the soulful nature of this amazing tube rectified power section.

With these 3 new versatile channels, 8 incredible modes, the new Solo Control feature, a Programmable & Footswitchable Effects Loop and a new stage-ready 5 Button Footcontroller , the new Dual and Triple Heads are pure-bread, gain-wielding beasts…destined for the same iconic status bestowed upon their predecessors.

Mesa Boogie Express 5:25 1x12" Combo (Black Tolex)

Mesa Boogie Express Line

The Express Line to Tone!

Take the 5:25, running EL-84’s out of London straight to the studio for the ultimate big sounding, little amp. Or, catch the 5:50 running 6L6’s out of Fullerton, heading uptown to the gig. These new amplifiers are the direct line to Tone City.

Both 25 and 50- watt models feature four inspiring modes from two oppositie personalities spread across two fully independent channels. If Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde had to share one platform, this would be it.

Say you’re a traditionalist: Select Clean and Blues for your two footswitchable sounds. Or, if you’re addicted to Gain, choose Crunch and Burn. Then stand back as the well-mannered soul of Dr. Jeckyll morphs into the maniacal Mr. Hyde, hardcore beast. Most important is the classic authenticity of all these iconic tones. No matter what your stylistic destination, the Express will take you there… Fast.

Up front, that number “5” indicates the low power, single-ended magic of pure Class A. The “25” and “50” refer to the rated push-pull output. Together, these make up Duo-Class™ our patented new power circuit, the first to offer both single-ended and push-pull configurations in the same amplifier.

But even that’s not the last stop. Each channel is further equipped with its own Contour depth control for added shaping that’s both assignable and footswitchable. Used subtly, Contour adds a halo of depth and chime to gleaming clean sounds. Higher Contour settings, especially in Crunch and Burn, take you into Recto™ turf, tight, huge and menacing.

Functionally, the Lone Star incorporates an impressive list of unique and extremely powerful features that allow you to tailor the character and feel of the amplifier to perfectly meet your musical needs. For a closer look at the Lone Star’s exceptional versatility and features list, let’s dig into the front and rear panel controls.

Welcome to Lone Star Ranch
The Lone Star’s front and rear control panels are extremely player friendly and are in themselves an expressive art form through the beauty, logic and simplicity of their design. Two-channel simplicity delivers the goods…with surpassing versatility.

Dial Up Texas Gold
Channel 1 epitomizes the best of Black Face: a punchy, shimmering twang that gives way to furry smoothness. It’s based on a traditional vintage/boutique gain structure to produce angelic and warm clean sounds in its low to medium gain ranges. Like most great tube amps, this channel can be driven to clip and produces incredible solo possibilities for blues or roots chording styles.

Channel 2 has a split personality. At the flick of a switch, it can clone the clean magic of Channel 1 (with an added touch of blues-roots gain) or kick in an additonal high-gain amplifier with its own dedicated control. With stunning performance inspired by the pivotal Mark I, the interaction of three cascading gain controls unlocks the historic vault of ground-breaking lead sounds.

Channel 2 CLEAN / DRIVE switch kicks in another triode tube stage for the high gain lead mode or, lets you bypass it entirely for a slightly higher gain clone of Channel 1.

Channel 2 Voicing Switch offers three gain/voicings allowing you to tune the response from NORMAL, revealing the natural sound of your guitar, to THICK and THICKER for more vocal quality high gain solo work in the DRIVE MODE.

Switching in the Drive control adds 2 more triode stages and an additional gain control to meter in the exact blend of smooth singing saturation. The bipolar nature of Channel 2 allows the Lone Star to roam effortlessly through both vintage and modern territory with full channel switching accuracy and an emphasis on soul and simplicity. It also provides an amazing amount of added control and flexibility to further tailor the sonic character and feel of the Lone Star to best match the musical style you are playing. There are many cool combinations, imagine having two low gain channels, one for sparkling clean and the other driven into an old school breakup, or one for low gain clean and the other for high gain singing sustain – Very Cool!

Mesa LoneStar Multi-Watt™ Channel Assignable Power features Duo-Class™ which allows each Channel to operate in 10 wattts Pure Class A, 50 & 100 watts Class AB – letting you tailor the power to the playing style each channel will be dedicated to.

This Lone Star features Multi-Watt™ with Duo-Class™ Channel Assignable Power that lets you assign 10 watts of Pure Class A Single-Ended clippability or 50 and 100 watt Class AB Push-Pull power sections per channel. Then choose the optimum Rectifier. Tube Rectifier Tracking™ offers you a choice of the elasticity of vacuum tubes or the tight-tracking authortiy of silicon diodes. These options enable you to footswitch between high-power headroom and small amp expression.

Truly seductive Reverb (our best ever) includes separate depth controls for each channel plus a unique voicing feature that switches between glowing amber warmth and a brilliant springy halo.

The Master Output Control is joined by a Master Solo Control that provides an additional pre-settable master output that you can trigger remotely for a footswitchable boost when you want to feature a part. These two Front Panel controls are brought on line with the activation of the hard bypassable, Effects Loop. When the Loop is not active, the individual Channel Master Controls serve as final output controls. When the Loop is set to Hard Bypass, all associated circuitry is removed (for you purists) from the signal path. Since the Output and Solo Controls are wired as Loop Returns at the end of the preamp and Loop signal path, they are defeated when the Loop is bypassed.

The Power Switch is fitted with “ Tweed™” or normal “On” power settings. The Tweed setting provides a built in Variac effect by reducing the incoming AC voltage, which produces a spongier feel and increased clip-ability. This ability to run everything in somewhat of a brown-out state produces amazing possibilities for the clean sounds that are driven to clip.

The Diode/Tube Rectifier Tracking™ Switch is an amazing new feature that takes our patented Dual Rectifier™ concept to a new level. When Tube Rectifier Tracking is selected the Lone Star will auto-assign the most stylistic rectifier circuit to track the assignable 10/50/100-watt power settings of both preamp channels. In this mode, when either preamp channel is in the 10 or 50-watt position, the 5U4GB Rectifier Tube is automatically brought online, which produces an authentic vintage feel that is extremely silky and inspiring to play. In the 100-watt position, the Silicon Diode Rectifier is automatically brought online, which provides the Lone Star with “top fuel” performance that produces more punch, a tighter, livelier attack and substantially more headroom. In this way, Tube Rectifier Tracking allows you to tune each of the channels “power feel” to the specific preamp sound you are dialing in. For example, you can select Channel 1 running at 100-watts, which will auto-track to the Diode Rectifier for high headroom clean work, while running Channel 2 at 10 or 50-watts, which auto-tracks the Tube Rectifier for a sweet, classic breakup with a sultry vintage feel. Alternatively, if you prefer the articulate power and authoritative punch provided by the Silicon Diode Rectifier in both the 50 and 100-watt power modes at all times, you can simply set the Rectifier Switch to the Diode position. This setting would be best for any application where maximum headroom is needed or tight bass response is called for, such as clean rhythm playing or extreme high gain crunch rhythm sounds.

An all tube series Effects Loop handles outboard processing with transparent finesse. The ability to “Hard Bypass” the loop entirely assures the purist in you will be satisfied in the studio, where every nuance of tone is crucial and you don’t need the Solo feature.

The pure, all tube, long tank Reverb is fitted with a Bright/Warm Switch that enables you to tailor the reverb sound to the style you are playing. Bright delivers a vintage-inspired sound complete with the identifiable haze of harmonics associated with older amp circuits, while Warm produces a more pure, studio quality character. Individual blend controls for each channel allow you to get the mix just right for each of the sounds you have designated to the two channels.

External switch ports are provided to assure that you can interface the Lone Star with larger rack or multi amp setups. The Channels and Solo feature will respond to any tip-to-ground latching type logic at their corresponding jacks. You can control these features via external and/or midi commands with any switcher that supports grounding type logic within their programmable menus.
closeup on All-Tube long tank reverb

A Switchable Bias Select feature allows you to swap tube types in the power section for different response characteristics. Use the stock 6L6 type tubes for the greatest versatility, or swap them out for a quartet of EL34’s for a brighter, more British feel with added harmonic spread.

A Slave Output and Level Control round out the Rear Panel enabling you to use the Lone Star as the “dry” master amp for a stereo setup, drive an external rack of outboard processing or, simply add additional power for larger venues. This output captures the entire sound of the preamp and power section by padding down the signal at the speaker output.

Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine Bass Amp

Mesa Boogie M6 Carbine Bass Amp

You may have known this amplifier under its previous name …THE FATHOM.

That name was registered with another manufacturer outside the MI industry. Being the family company that we are, rather than seek conflict – we forged ahead.

INTRODUCING THE M6 CARBINE

This is the same Trans-Class™ ultra-fast, super-soulful amplifier that has had so many bassists reconsidering their Tone

The CARBINE expands the MESA Family of Bass amplifiers with an exciting new voice that’s super fast and extremely focused! The output section relies on the same time- proven array of custom designed mosfets used in our M-Pulse, Big Block and Titan models, but the preamp and driver section are all new creating a very different feel and attitude.

Up front the tube preamp utilizes a standard tone control string of Bass, Mid and Treble to shape the basic sound, but the shaping power doesn’t stop there. There is a PULL DEEP feature found on the Bass control that keeps the low end tight and articulate when pushed in or, enhances the sub-lows and adds super-top air when pulled out.

Mesa M6 Carbine Pull Deep Feature
Convenient PULL DEEP feature allows you to select two ranges of fundamental for the BASS control. Normal (Pushed In) accentuates tight, percussive bottom that tracks with accuracy and cuts through a mix. Pull DEEP (Pulled Out) shifts the low end, enriching the sub-low and extreme-top to create warm, breathing air the whole band can ride on.

The CARBINE also features a new VOICE control for instant access to global character changes. Here you’ll find four iconic and distinctively different sounds and a bypass on a 5 position rotary pot that graphically shows you the EQ curve for each. To the left, positions 1 and 2 dip the midrange in two different places giving you two amazing choices for classic round, warm R & B sounds. Turning right past the 12:00 noon FLAT position unveils two variations on the mid-bump theme. Positions 4 & 5 boost adjacent mid regions to create two powerful mid focused sounds that push articulate fingerstyle playing to the forefront of any mix or add the tight drive to Rock. Great Tone doesn’t get any simpler!
M6 Carbine Voice Feature
Powerful 5 position VOICE control gives you all the power of a parametric EQ without the fuss. VOICE allows instant selection of four distinctly different EQ curves and Bypass. Choose position 1 or 2 that cuts midrange in two different frequencies for the ultimate warm, scooped R&B vibe. Or boost midrange in specific spots that enhance tight finger-style or Rock work with position 4 or 5. Can also be triggered remotely using the Rear Panel External Switch jacks.

DI LEVEL and MASTER controls make adjusting your playing volume levels quick and easy on stage. The DI LEVEL features both post and pre Tone control options, with post being the default (pushed in) setting and PULL PRE activating the pre setting that bypasses the entire preamp. A TUNER MUTE pull pot is added to the MASTER Output control for silent tuning in live or studio applications. This feature can also be triggered remotely from the Rear Panel Function Switch jack labeled MUTE.

The Rear Panel follows suit with simplicity dictating the layout of the essential features every pro rig should include. Tucked securely between the intake/exhaust vents sit the FUNCTION SWITCH jacks and the SPEAKER OUTPUTS. The FUNCTION SWITCH ¼” jacks provide switch ports to control the Front Panel VOICE feature and the TUNER MUTE. Connecting any grounding (tip to ground) logic switch here will trigger the desired VOICE setting or the MUTE. This allows settings to be stored under programs in a master external switcher. The SPEAKER OUTPUTS utilize stage ready SPEAKON UNIVERSAL connectors which accommodate both standard ¼” phone type and Nuetrik SPEAKON locking plugs. A SPEAKER IMPEDANCE switch keeps things in the Output section properly matched and allows you to select between 8/4 Ohm loads or switch down to 2 Ohms (CRITICAL when loads of 2 Ohms are used) for full power with these low load settings.

To the right of the air intake vent are the EFFECTS LOOP and DIRECT OUTPUT sections. The DIRECT OUTPUT consists of a standard 3 pin male XLR jack and a ground lift for the circuit to chassis ground connection.

The EFFECTS LOOP is in series with the main signal and can be bypassed with the switch located above the SEND jack. The TUNER OUT jack will feed a signal to your outboard tuner and you can use the Front Panel PULL MUTE feature located on the MASTER control to mute the signal for silent tuning. The MUTE can also be remote triggered by connecting a grounding footswitch to the Rear Panel FUNCTION SWITCH labeled MUTE.

The M6 CARBINE takes all the features you’ll ever need and combines them with a signature new sound that’s fast, accurate and best of all – easy to dial. Check out the CARBINE and the whole MESA Bass Line at your nearest MESA DEALER.

SOUND CONSTRUCTION

We’ve packed an array of innovative new features into our exceptional range of custom-built PowerHouse™ & RoadReady™ Bass Cabinets. These new cabinets provide an unsurpassed level of musical versatility and player convenience through the following new features:

Aviation Style Bracing – A radical new bracing concept borrowed from the aircraft industry. All structural reinforcement is “sculpted-out” to form an extremely strong skeleton that reduces weight, increases rigidity and improves structural integrity.

Tri-Ported Design – An innovative front facing, multi-vent porting system that uses individually tuned triangular ports to enhance each part of the bass spectrum. This goes way beyond the old standard design that has all your tone blowing out of one large port hole!

Player Control Network™ – A proprietary new “back-panel” interface that provides unprecedented stylistic versatility and gig friendly convenience with the following features:

Player Control Network™ includes 3-position switch for crossover frequency, adjustable L-Pad for blending the right amount of high frequency driver, re-settable horn protection plus standard ¼ inch and high-current SPEAK-ON locking connectors.

Style Control Crossover & Attenuator – An artistic crossover “Range” switch provides 3 distinct tonal variations: Our time-proven, detail-enhancing, sweet 5K (Normal) setting; plus the harmonic-friendly, accent-expanding snap of 4K (Sheen) and the groove-enforcing, articulate cut of 3K (Bright). This combined with our premium L-Pad horn attenuator provides players with unrivaled stylistic versatility and performance.

Instant Reset Horn Protection – A simple “one touch” reset switch provides the ultimate in convenient horn protection – No fuses, tools or digging inside the cabinet – Push & Play!

SPEAKON & ¼” Connectors – Convenient Inputs AND Paralleled Outputs are provided for both standard ¼” and SPEAKON high current, locking connectors.

Tilt & Roll™ Transport System (6×10, 8×10, 4×12, 2×15, PH 1000) – Provides built-in, hand-truck portability with rollerblade-ease and rear glide rail protection.

So whether you choose the heavy-duty construction of our PowerHouse Cabs or the added armor of our RoadReady Cabs, where the cab’s exterior is a hard-shell road case, these new cabs represent the world’s best built, best sounding, easiest to move bass enclosures ever made! But don’t believe us. Make the comparison yourself. Then you’ll understand why it’s all about Mesa for Bass!

Mesa Boogie Rectifier Series

Mesa Boogie Rectifier Series

Available as:

  • 50 Watt Head (Width 25-1/2 inches)
  • Rect-O-Verb® Head (Width 25-7/8 inches)
  • Rect-O-Verb® 1×12 Combo (Width 25-7/8 inches)

Please check for current stock.

The Rectifiers® gave birth to a defiant pack of 50 watt gangsters with one thing on their mind: Pure Recto® Attitude.

For those in the know, the 50 watt head has been an underground secret in the world of rock and roll for three decades. Offering a truly useable power band with a bright, fast top end, the vibe of these mid-power amps has always been brash and urgent, with a rebel disposition.

To create the American version of this genre, we took all the essential circuitry and ingredients of our fabled Dual Rectifier® and simply stepped down the displacement to a single pair of power tubes. At Mesa®, we only know one way to do things: the traditional, hand-built, all-tube way. And with a bloodline like the Dual Rectifier, who would dare tarnish such an icon? Last of all us!

Based on a diode-rectified, two-channel platform, we’ve included all the highly-developed pre-amp voicings found aboard its big-powered relatives. Channel One sports two modes: the tight and spanking Clean —which can be dialed up to a classic vintage purr, and Pushed for a spicy, brown, mid-gain clip.

Channel Two boasts the identical three modes offered by the Road King™ and the Dual/Triple Rectifiers®: Raw, Vintage and Modern high gain. These three voicings cover the spectrum in a stair-step format with Raw making the transition from furry-clean through a bluesy, roots clip. Then Vintage High-Gain takes over and continues up the gain scale into a liquid, violin voice that glows with amber warmth. And finally …Modern. This blistering High Gain mode delivers pure Recto aggression, the heaviest sound ever, and featured on countless recordings and stages world-wide.

Lately you’ll notice hi-jacked versions of the Rectifier® name appearing on the panels of many imitators. Flattering, yes. But don’t let them fool you. It all started here. We know the years we’ve dedicated to creating these sounds, using only the best components and real tube technology. There is simply no way that a sound this big — with its juicy, addictive feel — can be delivered from a string of Ones and Zeros in a silicon-based, two-dimensional world. Only the real thing can deliver the intensity of the Recto® experience. So if you can’t swing a Dual or a Triple, take heart: The authority that is Recto® tone is still within your reach.

Mesa Boogie Stiletto Deuce Full Stack (White Bronco)

This beast is custom covered in White Bronco finish. The head and the speaker cabinets are sold separately. Standard black finish also available.

Stiletto® marks Mesa’s dedication to the legendary power behind heavy rock’s British ancestry. Razor sharp and finely honed, the Stiletto is mean enough to slice right through any mix with a trademark new sound. From sparkling cleans to classic Brit crunch to a menacing new realm of high gain, our goal was to re-define the EL-34 sound and elevate it beyond the limits of previous boundaries. Just like the Rectos did to 6L6s!

STILLETO FEATURES

Tighter, higher Bass. Lower, fatter Mids and a hazy harmonic top where luscious overtones line up in a shimmering crystalline spread. This mid-focused footprint compliments a Recto® perfectly in an aggressive two-guitar band, allowing each player to carve out a distinctive region…and own it.

Two ruthless pre-amp channels create a mighty 6 mode platform while keeping that chrome panel gleaming and simple. Channel One fashions two Clean modes, one FAT and expansive, one TITE and urgent – or can be switched to CRUNCH, which roams from a ’34-style Brit Blues clip through classic UK Hard Rock. Channel Two starts here, cloning the mid-gain presence of CRUNCH, and moves into a hellacious new frontier of modern grind with the barbed attack of TITE-GAIN or the super-layered, harmonic loaded bomb in FLUID-DRIVE. Only another MESA should consider sharing a stage next to the sinister fury of the Stiletto’s high gain thrust.

The Stiletto® also incorporates our patented Bold-Spongy power feature that works like a built-in Variac for an even browner vibe. Our Solo feature (Pat. pend. 6,724,897) allows you to step out with a footswitchable volume boost when it’s your turn in the spotlight to wield this menacing tone.

External Switching Ports, Slave Out with Level control and an all-tube, series FX Loop (including a hard-bypass), round out the rear panel features.

*Introducing the NEW
Stiletto ACE® Amplifier
from Mesa Engineering*

Prepare to be SHOCKED! We were. Still are. Because sometimes, things come together in a way that exceeds all hopes and plans. That’s certainly the case with our newest Stiletto®… it rocks so hard it’s guaranteed to ACE your expectations as well.

Players have come to expect a great clean sound in every MESA amp, and theStiletto ACE® delivers in spades. Cleans like you’ve never heard before from an EL34 amp. Chiming transparent clarity riding atop warm breathing lows, and all this 3-D magic is delivered with stunning dynamic attack.

Because classic English Rock sounds are neither totally clean nor inherently high gain, we’ve fitted duplicate CRUNCH modes in both Channels 1 and 2. For the player who has no use for pristine clean, this mid gain mode roams the wooly landscape from nearly clean to a punchy snarling break-up.

Mesa Boogie Walkabout Bass Amplifier Series

Good News for the Bassist on the Move: the Walkabout™.

This little brother to the M-Pulse 600™ delivers all the same great tone at a size and weight that fits the demands of any bass player who’s traveling light and still needs huge sound.

Using Simul-State™, our hybrid tube-driven MOSFET circuitry, this 300 watt power section has all the nuance, definition and punch of the larger M-Pulse™ formats. And with almost the same headroom as its larger brother, the Walkabout has plenty of power to fill small clubs or coffee-house type venues. It’s also fitted with a toneful Balanced Out that’s great for grab-n-go studio sessions or for feeding the house board with your live stage sound

The Walkabout Scout™ Convertible Bass Combo. It’s a Head. It’s a Combo. It’s BOTH. And either way, the TONE is huge! (Yet this is one petite rig.)

Start with the WalkAbout™ head: 300 watts for 13 lbs. A pure all-tube pre amp provides the tone. Tubes even drive our MOSFET power block giving WalkAbout the same great Simul-State™ performance as our bigger M-Pulse 600™. (Bass Player magazine recently raved that the 600 “scores big points for innovative design, luscious tone and roadworthy construction.”)

Now enter the new Scout cabinet. A double break through in design, the Scout provides docking for the powerful WalkAbout. In minutes, with only a screw driver, you can convert the Walkabout from a head to an awesome featherweight combo.

And to magnify your booty, the Scout cabs boast a unique down-firing Passive Radiator. This low-end down-force amplifies the cabinet volume to produce shocking hugeness. And to keep it light, we use space-age neodymium speaker technology in both 12 and 15 inch Scout drivers.

Orange Rocker 30 Head

Orange Rocker 30 Head

All valve, 30 watt, Class A operation channel switching head. This amplifier combines a single stage clean channel with a three stage pre-amp lead channel. The natural channel has just one control (natural volume) that takes you through many shades of perfectly balanced, bell like clean tones, until you hit the very musical harmonic overdrive of the output valves. The dirty channel takes you all the way from a super clean chime, through many colours of vintage overdrive. Tones that bite like a shark, all the way through to a very fat, harmonically intense, full-on distortion that has to be played to be believed!

Tone King (2010) Imperial (Turquoise/White)

Tone King (2010) Imperial (Turquoise/White)

The Imperial delivers the authentic sound of the 1950s and 1960s. It has the same raw, slightly unrefined tone and spongy feel of a genuine 40-year old vintage amp. With two preamp channels, reverb, and tremolo, the lightweight (30lbs), low power (20W) Imperial is the ideal small gigging amp.

First released in 1993, the Imperial was designed to capture the raw tone and loose feel of a genuine well worn vintage amp, and then take that sound further than an original vintage amp ever could. Over the years it has proven to be a favorite among pros and amateurs alike and can still be found on stage with many A-list acts across this country and abroad.

Rudy’s Times Square: (212) 391-1699

Tone King Imperial Features:

Rhythm Channel
The rhythm channel really delivers theclassic blackface sound, instantly reconizable to fans of the Princeton or Deluxe Reverb, but with a more organic feel, like a really good vintage tweed deluxe. It gives you the shimmery clean tones and gritty, ringing overdrive that this style of amp is known for, but with an improved ability to control the timbre and expression of the notes with your fingering and pick attack.

Lead Channel
The unique and effective Mid-Bite control makes the Lead Channel a lot more versatile than you would expect from a channel with only 3 controls. The Mid-Bite control is an exclusive Tone King design feature which does a lot more than simply adjust the midrange level – it completely transforms the overdrive character.

With Mid-Bite fully off, the Lead Channel reacts much like a tweed deluxe. When played clean, the woody resonance of the cabinet, liveliness of the 5AR4 tube rectifer, and the expressive dynamic response of the cathode-biased output stage work together to give you the raw midrange, silky top end, and loose feel of a genuine well-worn tweed deluxe – perfect for honky tonk or blues rhythm playing with a tele.

As you dig in harder, you’ll feel the sweet, round top end begin to develop a stinging bite. Crank it up into the distortion zone, and the tone gets even fatter, thicker, and looser. Think tweed deluxe meets vintage Supro. Compression from the cathode-biased output stage softens the pick attack as single notes and chords swell and sustain in endlessly evolving shades of thick, meaty grind.

As you turn up the Mid-Bite control, a midrange peak appears while the bottom end is simultaneously tightened up, which transforms the tone into more of an English-style crunch. The amp develops a tighter feel as single notes really start to sing, and chords become chunky with rich midrange overtones, a lot like an early Marshall.

Reverb
The Imperial’s reverb circuit uses the same 12AT7 driver tube, 12AX7 receiver tube, and long-format 2-spring pan as those classic amps from the 1960s, to give you that same authentic spring reverb sound.

Tremolo
The Imperial uses a vintage tremolo circuit which creates the tremolo effect by modulating the bias current of the output tubes. Compared to other methods (e.g. the opto-coupler method used in the Fender “blackface” era amps), this method creates the most gradual, smoothest, and roundest tremolo effect.

The tremolo effect can be turned on and off via the footswitch.

Tone King (2010) Metropolitan (Brown/White)

Tone King (2010) Metropolitan (Brown/White)

The most toneful, musical and flexible Tone King amp ever made!

Introduced in 2009, the Metropolitan is a truly magical guitar amplifier with a sound all its own. The lightweight, resonant speaker cabinet is tuned and voiced as if it were a musical instrument unto itself, producing the perfect balance of warm, woody resonance and elastic feel, as well as power and punch. The ultra-pure signal path and automatically balanced and calibrated phase inverter give you an unusually effortless sustain, even on perfectly clean notes, and a bell-like clarity.

The Metropolitan is built to the highest standards of quality with only the finest materials. From the cabinetry, to the upholstering, to the electronic assembly and testing, each amp is entirely hand-built by designer Mark Bartel in his Baltimore, MD craft shop. Not satisfied with using off-the-shelf parts, Mr. Bartel works with skilled fabricators to develop custom components such as transformers and speakers in order to craft his totally unique and musical creations to his exacting standards.

The revolutionary Phase-4 power control system gives you the ability to achieve the true sound and feel of an amp cranked up and driven into natural overdrive and power tube crunch, at any volume – even “bedroom” volume – by providing a usable output power range of 0.1W – 40W.

Over the years, scores of approaches have been devised to achieve this end (master volumes, power scaling, attenuators, etc.). Tone King designer Mark Bartel has tried them all, but has never been sufficiently satisfied with any of them to consider including them in his designs – until he developed the Phase-4 power control system.

Tone King’s breakthrough Phase-4 power control technology is light years ahead of these older approaches in its ability to retain not only the tone, but also the tactile feel of the amp’s natural power tube overdrive, even at very low volume.

Front & Back panel controls

The Metropolitan has two distinct preamp channels – the Rhythm Channel and the Lead Channel. You can select between the two with either the front panel channel switch or the footswitch.

Input Gain Switch
The input gain switch controls the gain of the 1st stage of both preamps. This switch helps to tailor the overall gain of the amp to match the gain of the amp to the output level of your guitar’s pickups.

Rhythm Channel
The Rhythm channel includes a 2-position “bright” switch as well as Volume, Treble, and Bass controls.

Lead Channel
The Lead Channel includes Volume, Tone, and Mid-Bite controls.

Reverb
The Metropolitan’s all new single-knob reverb circuit has been meticulously tuned to be the best sounding reverb circuit of all Tone King models. The reverb control on the front panel sets the reverb level for both preamp channels. In addition, the reverb may be turned on and off with the footswitch.

Output Power Controls
Two output power controls are included on the front panel – one for each preamp channel. They allow adjustment of the output power from 0.1W to 40W, continuously. Having separate power controls for each channel allows you to set the amp for a clean tone with lots of headroom on the Rhythm channel, and an overdriven tone on the Lead channel, while matching the volume level when you switch between channels.

The Metropolitan’s newly-designed Rhythm channel provides an even wider variety of great clean tones, from the more “mid-scooped” sound of the original Tone King rhythm channel, to a range of new tones with an additional measure of mid-range girth and chime.

The Lead channel draws heavily from the designs of past Tone King models, but is infinitely more useful, because it can now be used to dial in anything from fat, greasy tweed overdrive to the kerrang of crunchy early-Marshall power chords, at any volume level.

The Metropolitan’s light, resonant cabinet is an integral part of its unique sound and feel. Warmer than the Imperial, More elastic and three-dimensional than the Meteor/II, it achieves the perfect balance of looseness to punch, and three-dimensionality to focus. It is voiced to have its own unique sound, lending character and dimension to any type of guitar sound.

Designer Mark Bartel worked with Eminence Speaker, LLC to develop a fantastic new paper-cone speaker for the Metropolitan. This new speaker has its own unique sound that mates perfectly with the voicing of the cabinet and the amp circuitry. It has a lot of character, defined mostly by it’s prominent, vocal-like mid-range and bell-like top-end (think more chime and less crushed-glass shimmer).

Two Rock Custom Reverb Signature

Two-Rock Custom Reverb V2 100 Watt Head & Speaker Cabinet

Head & Speaker cabinet sold separately.

Custom Reverb Signature

The Custom Reverb Signature is the culmination of everything Bill & Joe have learned since day one. It has a lot of the same features from their early days building amplifiers. The CR Sig has a very refined lead channel that has been tweaked to perfection. Originating in the K&M Custom, this circuit is the most open, least compressed and most articulate and revealing. The Signature also features a dual mode power supply which allows for either 35 watt or 50 watt operation(70/100 watts in the 100 watt version). It has a separate isolated power supply for the reverb, which enhances the reverb effect and prevents loading of the dry signal. In conjunction with our other reverb innovations, you’ll immediately notice a rounder, warmer, less restrictive feel.

The version 2 of the Custom Reverb Signature features further refinements. More proprietary components have been added to the list of parts made exclusively for us to continually improve our amps. The presence control has been eliminated and a contour control has been added. At the twelve o’clock position, the amp’s frequency response is flat. Rotating the knob counter-clockwise, will decrease the highs and increase the lows, and vice-versa for clockwise movement. This is ideal for switching between single coils and humbuckers without touching other controls or compensating for different speaker cabinets. It’s also a great way to compensate for room acoustics without changing your entire preamp EQ.

The effects return level is now internally fixed and there is a reverb send control on the back, similar to the Overdrive Signature. The beauty of this is you can control the amount of signal that goes to the reverb tank, allowing you to go from short to long decay times. The return control(front panel) adds just the right amount of total effect, from subtle to surf.

Finally, the output transformer has also been redesigned. The Custom Reverb Signature V2 has a much wider bandwidth, which along with our refined circuitry and component choices, translates into more articulation, feel, chime, and musicality than ever before.

  • 2 channel, cascading, SS Rectifier, 4 X 6L6, 100 watts.

ValveTrain (2009) 535 (Brown Alligator)

ValveTrain (2009) 535 (Brown Alligator)

The 535 is ValveTrain’s take on the mid-power amps from the late 50’s. Powered by a duet of Vintage Style 5881 tubes running in fixed bias, this amp produces a wide spectrum of harmonically rich clean tones that are great for jazz and traditional country. Crank it up for a walk down memory lane to vintage rock & roll.

We have added oversize transformers and own custom selected blend of a 12” and a 10” speaker. This all-tube combo amp has hand-wired circuitry, which puts a very strong 35 watts into a specially selected speakers. Power comes from a matched pair of 5881 output tubes and a 5U4 rectifier.

The 535’s preamp contains a 12AY7 and a pair of high-gain 12AX7 tubes to produce an original ‘50s low-gain sound.

Control panel details include normal and bright volumes, four inputs (two normal; two bright), bass, treble and presence controls.

The 535’s solid pine cabinet resonates with a warm, woody tone. The amp is covered in your choice of Tolex or Tweed finishes with matching vintage grille cloth. A heavy duty leather strap handle lets you safely transport the 535.

Inspired by the simplicity of the amp designs of the 1960’s, the amp controls are Volume, Treble and Bass. Built with top shelf components, this Concord is the real deal.

All major components including our custom designed, hand made Real Vintage 10” speaker, are proudly made in America. The chassis is constructed of high grade aluminum with custom wound transformers, and are hand wired at our ValveTrain facility in Sorrento, Florida.

The Concord delivers a varied tonal spectrum from shimmering cleans through vintage crunch. A quick flick of the guitar volume knob controls the full range of the Concord’s voices. The Concord is great for home, studio or small venues. Put a microphone in front of it and it will fill the largest of venues.

Victoria (2010) Regal 1x15 Combo Amp (Lacquered Tweed)

Victoria (2010) Regal 1x15 Combo Amp (Lacquered Tweed)

A combo amp featuring reverb and tremolo, The Regal II is a pure, single-ended class A design that utilizes a new ‘Adaptive Transformer Technology’ that allows for the use of one or two power tubes at the same time. Therefore, operating power is rated from 5 watts to 35 watts; and at 5 watts, it’s a REAL 5 watts, not some squashed approximation of 5 watts. The Regal II is designed around a custom bifilar output transformer that is essentially two discrete transformers driving a common speaker load. This allows for the use of any combination of common 8 pin power tubes – from a single 6V6 delivering 5 watts of pure class A power, to two EL-34’s for 35 watts. And because each tube is relating to its own independent transformer winding and bias resistor, any combination of different tubes types can be auditioned. Whether it be a single 6V6 or 6L6GC or a combination of the two (yes that’s right, a 6V6 and a 6L6GC at the same time) the Regal II never needs biasing or adjustments when changing tubes. This versatility is also extended to rectifier tubes; the Regal II can accept any common 5 Volt rectifier including 5Y3, 5V4, 5U4, and 5AR4 with no adjustments necessary. The Regal II is available in lacquered tweed. Custom design 15 inch speaker standard, Eminence Legend 15 inch and Celestion Gold optional. Foot switchable, 100% tube-driven reverb and tremolo. 100% hand wired with US-made Allen Bradley resistors and custom Victoria capacitors.

  • 5-35 Watts of power
  • ‘Vintage Voicing’ all tube circuitry
  • Single ended Class A operation

VOX Night Train

Vox (2010) Night Train Head + 1x12" Cabinet

Night Train. The rock-solid, no-compromise all-tube VOX head for the musician on the go.

The Vox Night Train head and 1×12” cabinet are sold separately.

Main Features

  • Rock-solid, all-tube head that is made to travel.
  • Uncompromising sound with two 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power tubes.
  • Selectable BRIGHT or THICK mode switch provides EQ and Gain variations for just the right tone.
  • Dual-power tube mode offers 15 watt (Pentode Power) or 7.5 Watt (Triode Tone) operation.
  • Master Volume control preserves your gain settings at any playing level.
  • Solid, industrial-chic mirror finish exudes tube coolness.
  • Custom padded carry-case is included.

Add your hot sound to a late night demo; sit in at your favorite club; jam with friends; cut tracks across town – or do it all in a single day! The Night Train NT15H is your new best friend. Whenever and wherever, Night Train is ready to deliver that smooth and satisfying all-tube sound. We understand that you don’t want to choose between killer sound and total convenience. And with Night Train you never will.

If Looks Could Kill
Night Train is one sexy beast. Solid enough to inspire confidence, Night Train weighs less than seventeen pounds – and the “armored lunchbox” dimensions provide extreme portability. Finished with a cool chrome mirror-finish, the signature VOX diamond design reveals that inspiring vacuum tube glow. And of course, the Night Train NT15H includes its own padded carry case to protect your investment.

True Tube Power
The sound is pure VOX. Inside, a pair of EL84 tubes deliver on the tube power promise. Two 12AX7 tubes drive the preamp stage with both power and clarity. This is the same winning tube complement as the classic VOX AC15. From chime-like clean tones to the warmest overdrive, there is no mistaking that harmonic richness of pure tube performance.

Dual Nature
A single switch lets you select between Pentode or Triode tube operation. In the Pentode mode, Night Train delivers a full 15 watts of power. In the Triode mode, the power is cut to 7.5 watts. The Triode mode also relaxes the tube power stage, letting that silky-smooth, mellow tube character shine through.

Preamp Pizzazz
Night Train greets you with a clear, simple panel design; offering the familiar Gain and Volume controls. The Tone controls include Treble, Middle and Bass, allowing you to dial up just the right character for your individual, signature tone. In addition, the preamp section features a mode switch, offering both BRIGHT and THICK options. The BRIGHT mode accentuates the high-frequency components for a clear, ringing tone; the THICK setting bypasses the tone circuit to boost the gain and create a chunkier, heavier sound.

Cabinet Convenience
Equipped with both 8Ω and 16Ω speaker jacks, Night Train can be used immediately with nearly any speaker cabinet. Naturally, we recommend VOX extension cabinets. This extra measure of versatility is just one more example of why Night Train may be the one amp you never leave at home. To complement the Night Train, both cosmetically and tonally, a specially voiced 1 × 12″ speaker cabinet (V112NT) is available. The V112NT weights in at just 11kg, compact yet full sounding, the cabinet features a Custom VOX Celestion ‘Greenback’ speaker. The Night Train V112NT cabinet will be available Summer 2009.
